PLACE BEFORE PRODUCT

The land came first.
Coffee came later.

The farm’s story begins with the place itself, then with the agricultural work carried out there. Living Origin Coffee presents that work plainly, without turning the farm into scenery or attaching an invented legend to its name.

SAN AGUSTÍN

The place that locates the coffee.

San Agustín is the town and geographic reference for Tairakinti Farm. The farm itself is in Vereda El Tablón, within the mountain landscape of Huila.

Living Origin Coffee names San Agustín because origin should locate a coffee honestly. It is not borrowed decoration for a marketing story.

03

THE HUMMINGBIRD

A small presence in a working landscape.

Hummingbirds are part of the living environment around the farm. The bird appears as a quiet visual thread for Living Origin Coffee, without an invented Indigenous, spiritual or linguistic explanation for the name Tairakinti.

What matters here is observation: flowers, trees, cultivated ground and the movement of life through the farm.

THE PEOPLE

The coffee has a team responsible for it.

Juan Pablo Castro leads day-to-day farm operations and coffee preparation. Buyer relationships are led by Jon-Paul and Marcela deLange through the Living Origin Coffee commercial team.

Commercial inquiries and sample requests are coordinated directly with the farm so buyer communication remains connected to the coffee, its record and what is actually available.

A WORKING FARM

The work is the story.

Tairakinti is not presented as a luxury retreat. It is a working farm shaped by changing weather, steep ground, tree care, maintenance, harvest pressure, processing decisions and the discipline of keeping records.

That work is what gives a future commercial lot its credibility. Where procedures or measurements are still being established, Living Origin Coffee will say so plainly.

Natural stewardship. Documented practice.

Tairakinti Farm began an owner-directed organic conversion effort in 2025. The farm is moving its field practices toward natural soil care, reduced reliance on conventional chemical inputs, tree health and disciplined documentation.

Our direction is clear: build toward verifiable organic production through disciplined land stewardship, documented practices and steady improvement. Tairakinti Farm is not certified organic, so we describe the work as it is and let the records demonstrate our progress.
